CLEVELAND - Cleveland State freshman women's tennis player Irina Strembitsky (Mayfield, Ohio/Mayfield) has been named Player of the Week by the Midwestern Collegiate Conference. Making her CSU debut in last Friday's 4-3 win over Robert Morris, Strembitsky easily won at No. 1 singles, 6-0, 6-2. She then teamed with Brandy Cera (Lorain, Ohio/Admiral King) for an 8-6 victory at No. 1 doubles.

Now 2-1 in the spring, the Vikings are in action again this Friday (Mar. 23) when they travel to Pittsburgh for a 2:00 p.m. match with the Panthers.
