GREEN BAY and MILWAUKEE, Wis. - Cleveland State dominated both of its Horizon League road matches this weekend, blanking UW-Milwaukee, 7-0, to start the weekend before defeating UW-Green Bay, 6-1, on Saturday. The wins improve CSU to 13-9 and 4-1 in Horizon League play.

Senior Sarah Galon improved to 23-11 with two straight-sets wins at No. 1 singles. Galon and freshman Denisa Muntean each won two matches at No. 1 doubles to lead the Vikings. Muntean also went 2-0 at No. 3 singles over the weekend. Freshman Charlotte Gibbons was also perfect at No. 2 singles, making CSU 6-0 in the top three singles spots.

"Winning at the top of the lineup was big for us," head coach Brian Etzkin said. "We had some close matches overall, but we had a great team effort.

"We were pretty much in control all weekend."

Junior Jenn Myers and sophomore Kristin Chamberlain each went 2-0 in singles play while junior Lindsay Sellers went 1-1.

CSU closes out the regular season with matches at home versus Butler and Detroit April 21-22 at Malaga Tennis Center.
