Jay Tee, a former standout in the men's tennis program at Cleveland State, is returning for his fifth season as an assistant coach with the Vikings.

During Tee's tenure at Cleveland State, the Vikings have compiled a 61-44 overall record, including a 26-6 mark in Horizon League contests. CSU has advanced to the championship match of the Horizon League Tournament twice, while five student-athletes have earned first team or second team All-Horizon League honors.

Tee was a member of the men's team from 2002-06, playing primarily at No. 2 singles and No. 1 doubles. During his career he compiled more than 40 singles wins, ranking him 10th on the all-time singles wins list at CSU, while he also posted a 58-46 doubles mark.

The 2002-03 Horizon League Newcomer of the Year, Tee was selected to the All-Horizon League second team four times throughout his tenure at Cleveland State. He also served as president of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee as a senior.

Tee graduated from CSU in 2006 with a degree in history and served as an Assistant Tennis Professional at Lake Toxaway Country Club in North Carolina in 2007. He then held the position of Director of Junior Development at the Asheville Racquet and Fitness Club from 2007-09.
