Cleveland State Women’s Tennis Earns 7-0 Sweep Over IUPUI

CLEVELAND, Ohio - The Cleveland State women's tennis team got back in the win column Saturday, picking up a 7-0 Victory over IUPUI.

The Vikings were able to pick up the doubles point with an adjusted lineup, as Selma Tounsi and Bethany Yauch earned a 6-2 win at the top of the lineup, while Cleveland State earned a forfeit win at the No. 3 spot.

Cleveland State then got a 2-0 lead to begin singles play with a forfeit win at the No. 6 spot, while Tounsi put the Vikings up 3-0 with an efficient 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 5 singles.

Oihane Vicario clinched the match for the Vikings at the top of the lineup, notching a 6-4, 6-1 win to give the Vikings a 3-1 record in #HLTennis play.

Cleveland State also got singles wins from Sima Heren at No. 2 (6-3, 6-0), Tereze Vevere at No. 3 (6-3, 6-3) and Yauch at No. 4 (6-2, 6-3).

The Vikings will close out their home slate tomorrow, hosting Northern Kentucky at 2:00 p.m.
