CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Cleveland State women's tennis team opened play at the seventh annual Viking Invitational Friday, picking up six doubles wins and six singles victories.

The Vikings picked up wins in all six of their singles matches against Duquesne on Friday, including Sima Heren and Oihane Vicario who both improved to a team-best 3-1 on the season.

In doubles, Ella Franz and Tereze Vevere and Selma Tounsi and Filippa Frogner both went 2-0 on the first day, picking up wins against Eastern Michigan and Youngstown State.

Action at the Viking Invitational will continue tomorrow, with two rounds of doubles and one round of singles.
