CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Cleveland State women's tennis team continued its strong play at the Viking Invitational on Saturday, picking up five singles wins and four doubles victories.

For the second straight day, the Vikings picked up wins in five of six singles matches, including a 6-4, 6-2 victory from Oihane Vicario – her first win of the season.

Bethany Yauch and Selma Tounsi both picked up matching 6-2, 6-2 wins, while Filippa Frogner earned a 6-3, 6-4 victory and Tereze Vevere battled for a 6-2, 6-7(2), 1-0(6) win. All five singles wins came against Duquesne for the Vikings.

In doubles play, Yauch and Ella Franz went 2-0 on the day, picking up a 6-3 win against YSU and a 6-0 victory against Niagara. Vicario and Vevere picked up a 7-6(6) win against the Penguins, while Tounsi and Frogner notched the final doubles win with a 6-4 decision against Niagara.

The Vikings will close out play at the Viking Invitational tomorrow (Sunday, October 15), with one round of singles beginning at 12:30 p.m.
