Cleveland State’s Lenoan Earns Spot On #HLTennis All-Academic Team

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Horizon League announced the 2021 Women's Tennis All-Academic Team Wednesday afternoon, with Cleveland State super senior Blanche Lenoan earning a spot on the six-player team.

Lenoan, who earned a spot on the All-Academic Team for the first time in her career, graduated Magna Cum Laude last spring with a degree in Civil Engineering and then completed her Master of Science in Civil Engineering this year. The Jullouville, France native earned a spot on the Cleveland State Dean's List every semester of her undergraduate career, and is a four-time ITA Scholar-Athlete.

On the court, Lenoan finished her Cleveland State career with 60 singles wins, just shy of earning a spot on the CSU Singles Wins List. During her super senior year, Lenoan spent the majority of the season at No. 2 singles – posting a 15-5 record and helping the Vikings to their 11th straight #HLTennis semifinal appearance – earning All-League Second Team honors.

In doubles action, Lenoan was part of Cleveland State's most successful doubles team this spring, posting a 14-6 record with Kateryna Avram at the No. 2 spot. The duo finished the season ranked sixth on the CSU Team Doubles Wins List with 24 victories as a tandem, while Lenoan finished her career tied for ninth with 60 career doubles wins.

During her time as a Viking, Lenoan helped Cleveland State to 50+ wins, including a 16-win campaign as a junior. Over the last five years Lenoan and the Vikings have gone 31-14 against Horizon League opponents, and earned a spot in the Horizon League Championship match during the 2018-19 season.
