Senior Weekend
This weekend marks the final homestand for the senior duo of Aleksandra Golawska and Jana Schober, as the Vikings will honor the pair at their annual Friends, Family and Alumni Banquet prior to this weekend's matches. During their careers, Golawska and Schober have both been an integral part of the singles and doubles lineup, leading the Vikings to a pair of Horizon League Regular Season Championships.

Last Time Out…
The Vikings picked up back-to-back wins at Detroit Mercy (4-3) and Oakland (6-1) during their first #HLWTEN roadswing, improving to 8-11 overall this season and 4-1 in league play.

The Medical Mutual Tennis Pavilion
The Vikings will be playing their final two home matches of the season this weekend, closing out a 13-match home slate in the Medical Mutual Tennis Pavilion. Cleveland State has been calling the MMTP home for the last three seasons, and owns a 21-8 overall record in the facility, including a 10-2 mark against league opponents.

Schober Closing In On 50 Career Singles Wins
After going 2-0 at No. 4 singles last weekend, Jana Schober enters the final stretch of regular season play just five wins shy of recording the 50th singles win of her career. Schober, who owns a 13-10 record this year, would become the 15th Viking all-time to achieve the feat and the second current Viking to join the 50-win club (Aleksandra Golawska).

Spindler Goes 2-0 At No. 1 Singles
Junior Isabella Spindler improved to 4-1 in Horizon League play last weekend, picking up a pair of wins at the top of the singles lineup against Detroit Mercy and Oakland. Spindler, who owns a team-best 16-12 singles record this season, stands at 10-8 this spring, playing all 18 matches at the No. 1 spot. Spindler is one of four league players to have at least four wins during league play at the top of the singles lineup, and is on track to have her best singles campaign in league play.

Golawska On The CSU Singles Wins List
Senior Aleksandra Golawska added to her career win total with a pair of wins at No. 3 singles last weekend, entering this weekend's homestand ranked ninth on the CSU singles Wins List with 67 career singles victories. Golawska, who has a 15-12 overall record this season, is one of just nine Vikings all-time to eclipse 65 career victories. Golawska is now two wins shy of moving into eighth place, and three wins shy of becoming the eighth Viking all-time to reach the 70-win milestone.

Golawska & Spindler In Doubles Action
Following a 6-0 victory at No. 1 doubles against Oakland last time out, the Cleveland State tandem of Aleksandra Golawska and Isabella Spindler moved into a tie for second place on the CSU Doubles Wins List with 38 career wins. For the season, Golawska and Spindler now own a 16-4 doubles record – a mark that is tied for eighth on the single-season wins list – while they are currently 4-1 against league opponents this year.

Head Coach Brian Etzkin
Brian Etzkin is in his 16th year at the helm of the Vikings, owning a 207-196 dual match record. During his tenure, Etzkin has guided Cleveland State to three Horizon League Regular Season titles and three Horizon League Championship match appearances.

Vikings Selected Third In Preseason Poll
Earlier this season, Cleveland State was selected to finish third in the Horizon League Preseason poll, collecting 63 points to finish behind UIC and Youngstown State. Since the league began releasing preseason polls six years ago, the Vikings have now earned a top-three selection five times.

Scouting The Raiders
Wright State enters the weekend with a 17-9 overall record this season, and is one of two teams to own a perfect 5-0 mark after three weeks of Horizon League play. The Raiders, who were picked to finish fourth in the #HLWTEN Preseason Poll, enter Saturday's contest on an eight-match winstreak, most recently picking up wins over Green Bay, Milwaukee and Wittenberg.

This will be the 21st meeting between the two teams under head coach Brian Etzkin, with Cleveland State owning a 15-5 advantage in the overall series.

Scouting The Norse
Northern Kentucky currently stands at 6-7 overall this spring and 3-2 in Horizon League play, and will face Youngstown State prior to Sunday's match against the Vikings.  The Norse, who where picked to finish fifth in the Horizon League Preseason Poll, enter the weekend on a three-match winstreak, with wins over Green Bay, Milwaukee and Dayton during this stretch.

This will be just the third meeting between the two teams, with Cleveland State picking up wins in the first two matchups.
