Gbadamosi Picks Up Singles Win On Final Day Of Hoosier Classic

SINGLES DRAWS | DOUBLES DRAWS

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The Cleveland State women's tennis team wrapped up play at the Hoosier Classic Sunday, with Princess Gbadamosi picking up CSU's lone singles win.

"Overall I think this was a good weekend for us, as a whole we competed really well throughout the entire tournament and we were facing some tough competition so it was good to see how the team responded  to that," associate head coach Frank Polito said. "Princess has had two great weekends of tennis for us, and she is playing really well right now and definitely moving in the right direction after this weekend's tournament. Morgan and Katy both had good weekends for us – showing improvement in singles and doubles – they have been up against some tough competition and they are only going to get better because of that."

Gbadamosi picked up her first win of the weekend in Flight 1 action, as she posted a 6-4, 6-4 victory over Antonella Bramato of Cincinnati.

For the weekend, Gbadamosi, Morgan Nix, Mathilde Orange, Victoria Bensimon, and Katy Quillin all picked up singles wins, while the doubles teams of Gbadamosi/Nix and Orange/Quillin each went 2-2 at the Hoosier Classic.

The Vikings will now take a break from competition, and return to action at the UB Invitational in Buffalo, N.Y. (Friday, October 9 – Sunday, October 11).
