Women’s Tennis Falls To BYU Hawaii

LAIE, Hawaii – The Cleveland State women's tennis team played its final Spring Break match Thursday afternoon, falling to BYU Hawaii, 8-1. Thursday's match was played according to NCAA Division II rules, in which every match counts as one point.

"The freshmen duo of Jana and Aleksandra played some great doubles today, with their match definitely being the highlight of the contest," associate head coach Frank Polito said. "They haven't played together in the doubles lineup much this season, so it was good to take a step forward with their play. We played a good team in BYU Hawaii, and the team fought hard under some tough conditions. We are looking forward to getting back to Cleveland and starting the league portion of our schedule."

Cleveland State's lone point on the day came from the No. 3 doubles team of Jana Schober and Aleksandra Golawska, as they posted a 6-2 victory at the bottom of the doubles lineup.
