CLEVELAND, Ohio - The Cleveland State swimming and diving program will host their second annual Splash Bash this Saturday (Sept. 24), a fundraiser that raises money for The Robert F. Busbey Natatorium Champions Campaign.

"We've won 19 conference championships and have a program that goes back to 1931, so this is a fundraising event that helps us in our efforts to honor the great tradition we have here," head coach Wally Morton said.

The event, held in the The Robert F. Busbey Natatorium that has been the home of 51 winning seasons, will get underway at 1:00 p.m. with intrasquad races and will also include alumni and O*H*I*O Masters swimmers.

"Cleveland State University has been the focal point for swimming and diving in the Greater Cleveland area," Morton said. "The Splash Bash gives us an opportunity to bring together USA Swimming, Masters Swimming, CSU alumni and the Viking varsity team in a collaborative effort to celebrate the history of our relationship."

At the conclusion of the meet, a reception including food, drinks and raffle prizes will be held at Becky's (1762 East 18th Street). The cost of attending the reception is $20 for adults and $10 for children.

Funds raised on Saturday will go toward a new scoreboard, record board and heritage area in the aquatic facility. Donations to the Cleveland State University Foundation in support of The Robert F. Busbey Natatorium Champions Campaign are appreciated.
