CLEVELAND, Ohio - The Cleveland State women's swimming and diving team was named to the 2009-10 College Swimming Coaches Association of American Division I All-Academic team that was announced earlier this week.

The team maintained an overall grade point average of 3.28.

"The women's swimming and diving team has made tremendous progress in the classroom and in the pool," head coach Wally Morton said. "We continue to get better as serious Division I athletes that demand the highest level of work ethic.

"In swimming, there is a workout both early in the morning as well as again in the afternoon that requires excellent time management skills. The results have been the most wins (14) and the most Dean's List students (11) and most student-athletes with a GPA above 3.0 (15) in the history of the program. I am pleased with both the effort and the results of the team as a whole."
