Evanston, Ill. - The Vikings wrapped up competition at the TYR Invitational today, following another record setting performance by Joanna Olsson along with a 400 free relay CSU record. Cleveland State ended the invitational in fourth place with 311 pointes, behind Northwestern (1375), Iowa State (755) and Michigan State (692).

"We performed very well today, especially with not having a lot of rest between swims and swimming so many events over the course of the weekend," head coach Wally Morton said. "The team held together very well and finished the invitational off strong with today's performances."

Olsson continued her record setting ways as she set a record in the 200 fly, finishing in 3rd place with a time of 2:03.55, under one second shy of winning the event. She was also part of the record setting 400 free relay, teaming with Alice Sommerville, Carys Behn and Jamie Puls to finish with a time of 3:31.24 and in seventh place. Puls had one of her best swims ever as the anchor of the relay, helping the Vikings cement their record setting race.

Michelle Ferro had a great day for CSU, swimming the team's top times of the season in the 200 back and 200 breast. Ferro finished the 200 back in 11th place with a time of 2:06.89, and she finished the 200 breast in 2:27.07. Both times are the fifth fastest in program history.

"We are looking forward to traveling to Ohio State next week," Morton said. "It will be interesting to see how we come back after the three tough days of swimming this weekend and see how well we can bring it against one of the top teams in the nation."

The Vikings will close out the year when they travel to Columbus, Ohio on Tuesday (Nov. 24) to face Ohio State at 5:00 p.m.
