Cleveland, Ohio - The quartet of Kacey Cummings, Joanna Olsson, Alice Sommerville and Carys Behn combined for nine individual victories to pace the Vikings in their dual meet victories over UIC (126-113) and Youngstown State (166-77) in today's Senior Day meet.

"This meet set us up really well for the Horizon League championships," head coach Wally Morton said. "The team is excited about the championships and these wins gets them in the right frame of mind to compete at a high level. Winning is always a lot more fun than almost winning, and it gets everyone's confidence up."

Joanna Olsson led the Vikings with three victories coming in the 1,000 free, 200 IM and the 200 fly. Olsson touched first in the 1,000 free with a time of 10:41.90, while she finished the 200 IM in 2:08.39 and the 200 fly in 2:05.73.

Alice Sommerville and Carys Behn each posted two victories for CSU taking care of the free events, winning four out of the five freestyle races. Sommerville finished first in the 50 free (23.80) and the 100 free (52.46) while Behn won the 200 free (1:55.12) and the 500 free (5:11.39).

Kacey Cummings swept the diving events, winning both the 1-meter and 3-meter events. Cummings beat out Youngstown State's Casey Hill, who she lost to earlier this season with great diving efforts today. She won the 3-meter with 248.65 points and the 1-meter with 231.20 showing.

"Kacey was a great competitor for us today," diving coach Rich Karban said. "She was ready to dive against the Youngstown State team again and prove herself after she finished second earlier this season against them and she did just that today."

Once again Courtney Maddock is improving her times this season, stepping up her performance in the 500 free today. Maddock finished the race with a time of 5:15.10, good enough for a second place finish behind teammate Carys Behn.

With the victories over UIC and Youngstown State, the women's swimming and diving team has recorded the most dual meet victories in CSU history, finishing the season with a 14-5 record.

"Swimming in UIC's pool for the championships will be difficult for us, but I think we are ready with the great depth that we have on the team this year," Morton said. "We love swimming in our own pool, because it is one of the best in the conference but I think this year we will be able to take that confidence to Chicago with us."

The Vikings will a couple weeks to prepare for the Horizon League Championships that will take place on the UIC campus from February 24-27. All final events for the championships will be available on the Horizon League Network, with live streaming.
