CLEVELAND, Ohio – Junior Tobie Zeller of the Cleveland State University women's swimming team was named Horizon League Women's Swimmer of the Week in a League announcement Tuesday afternoon.
Zeller becomes the fourth Viking female to earn a weekly honor this season, joining Molly McNamara, Tori Taffner and Jamie VanDewerker.
Zeller swept the breaststroke events in this past weekend's dual against Buffalo and also swam on a winning relay.
Zeller began her day by swimming the second leg on CSU's top 200 medley relay team. She posted a 29.33 split to help the team claim first place in the event in 1:45.93. She then won the 50 breaststroke in 30.16 seconds before finishing her day with another first-place finish in the 100, touching the wall in 1:06.43.
A select group of Vikings will compete at the two-day Ohio State Winter Invitational meet this weekend before the team contests the League Championships in the final week of February.
