AKRON, Ohio - The Cleveland State men's and women's swimming and diving teams completed the third and final day of the Zippy Invitational on Sunday at the University of Akron's Ocasek Natatorium. The men finished with 417 points, the women with 256.

Sunday's finale featured the mile race, the 200 Back, 100 Free, 200 Breast, 200 Fly and the invitational's final event, the 400 Free relay.

For the men, Mac Lewis opened the scoring on the day with a sixth-place finish in the 1,650 with a time of 16:31.35. Tara Vermandere had the best finish for the CSU women, placing 17th with a time of 18:21.55

The Vikings will take a brief leave of action before returning to the pool in a dual meet at Canisius Fri., Dec. 18 at 5:00 p.m.
