Four Swimmers Named to HL Winter Academic All-League Teams

CLEVELAND, Ohio - Four swimmers from Cleveland State were selected to the 2014-15 Horizon League Winter Academic All-League team that was announced on Monday evening.

Danny Roberts and Patrick Walsh were selected on the men's side, while Bethany Robertson and Jodi Turk were voted to the women's team.

Roberts finished second in both the 1-meter and 3-meter boards at the Horizon League Championship. The Horizon League Diver of the Week on Feb. 3, Roberts scored a season-high of 340.05 points on the 1-meter board and 350.47 on the 3-meter board. He carries a 3.26 GPA as a Finance and Accounting major.

Walsh, who has a 3.93 GPA as a political science major, placed 10th in the 500 free at the league championship and was also seventh in the 1,650 free. He posted CSU's top times in the 500 free (4:46.22), 1,000 free (9:53.46) and 1,650 free (16:32.80) this season.

Robertson, who posted CSU's best times in the 500, 1,000 and 1,650 free this year, finished sixth in the 1,650 free and ninth in the 1,000 free at the league championship. A psychology major, she carries a 3.77 GPA.

Turk had three top-10 finishes at the Horizon League Championship, placing fifth in the 1,000 and 1,650 free and eighth in the 500 free. She also had CSU's top time in the 400 IM this year. She sports a 3.89 GPA as a mechanical engineering major.
