The Vikings Face Off Against St. Bonaventure This Weekend

Weekly PDF Release: Week 4

THIS WEEK: The Cleveland State men and women's swimming and diving team will be in action away from home against St. Bonaventure for their sixth meet of the regular season on Friday (Nov. 7) at 3:00 p.m.  

REVIEWING LAST WEEK:  The men and women's swimming and diving team fell to Ohio State (men: 137-88, women: 167-61) last week on Thursday (Oct. 30) and the men dropped another against Miami (OH) (120.5-108.5) on Saturday (Nov. 1) . 

The women look to bounce back against St. Bonaventure this week as they face an 0-2 women's squad. Events will begin at 3:00 p.m. at St. Bonaventure.

For the men's squad, the Vikings won their first event in the 200 freestyle relay that consisted of Philipp SikatzkiDeclan McLaughlinAdam Ingledew, and Robert Tolson with a time of 1:26.42 at Ohio State. Danny Roberts placed first in the 3 meter diving event with a total score of 261.45, also at Ohio State. Against Miami (OH), CSU had five first place winners in the individual swimming and diving events. Gage Alleman led the team by placing first in three separate events. Those events included the 200 IM (1:55.76), 200 butterfly (1:56.58), and 200 breaststroke (2:10.04). Danny Roberts also contributed by winning the 1 meter diving event with a score of 306.14. Philipp Sikatzki won the 200 backstroke with a time of 1:51.53. The men finished the day with a first place finish in the 400 freestyle relay. 

The Vikings will move on to swim at the CSU Magnus Invitational on Nov. 21-23 at the Robert F Busbey Natatorium in Cleveland, Ohio.
