CLEVELAND- The Cleveland State Vikings' women's team improved to 11-3 on the year this afternoon with two dominating home Senior Day wins. The Vikings defeated Wright State 213.5-86.5, while also taking down Youngstown State 204-96.

Head Coach Wally Morton walked away very happy with how the team performed on the day.

"We dominated the meet," he said simply. "I'm very proud of them."

Morton also made sure to single out each senior and how well they performed not only today, but also throughout their CSU careers.

For a team led by seniors it was only fitting that they shined on their senior day, with both Alice Sommerville and Joanna Olsson picking up multiple individual wins.

Sommerville picked up two solo wins, winning both the 100 breaststroke (1:03.69) and 100 butterfly (56.97).

Olsson also picked up two victories for CSU, taking home first in the 200 butterfly (2:06.96), and 200 IM (2:11.22).

Both shined in relays as well, as Olsson also teamed up with Sommerville, Alex Johansson, and senior Jamie Puls to win the 200 medley relay (1:46.84). While Sommerville swam with Christine Kopacko, Alex Johansson, and senior Gretchen Hestleyto win the 400 freestyle relay (3:33.30).

It wasn't all seniors who shined individually for the Vikings as others also took home multiple wins. Freshman Jodi Turk swam strong, winning both the 500 freestyle (5:05.44), and 1,000 freestyle (10:26.95). While Alex Johansson was also a triple winner for the home team, winning the 50 freestyle (24.48) to go along with her two relay wins.

The Viking women will be back in the pool next Saturday on the road when they head to Akron University to take on the Zips at 1:00 p.m.
