Transitioning from High School to College Softball...

High School softball and College softball are two completely different levels of play. High school softball is nothing compared to College softball, because at my high school no one really cared if we won or lost.

For me it was tough because I was preparing to play at the next level, and I hate losing.

In College, it's all about winning and achieving your maximum potential.

It's "real" competition, and I thrive off of that. The game is so much faster in college, and the girls are faster and stronger.

Division I college softball players are the best of the best, and I've learned far more then I ever did in high school.

Some of my biggest adjustments at the college level were adjusting to a new hitting style, playing new positions, learning new drills, and a new throwing style.I've learned that youform better friendships with your teammates and coaches in college.

Everyone on your team cares about you. I couldn't ask for a better group of people to be apart of as a team.

One thing I would tell incoming freshman is that you have to make sure this level is something you really want to do, because it is not easy. Youhave towork hard and give it your ALL, because it's not going to be given to you.
