CLEVELAND - The Cleveland State University softball team will open the 2003 season at the Radisson Softball Classic Friday, Saturday and Sunday on Dot Hicks Field on the campus of Marshall University.

The Vikes had the start of their season delayed a week when the Dayton Invitational was cancelled last weekend due to poor weather conditions.

The University of Dayton, Morehead State University and host Marshall will compete in the round robin tournament. Action will kick off at 2:00 p.m. Friday as the Herd takes on Morehead State.

The Vikings will face the Thundering Herd in the second game at 4 p.m. Friday and conclude the day against Morehead State at 6 p.m. Action continues Saturday morning when CSU meets Dayton at 10 a.m. followed by games against Marshall at 2 p.m. and Morehead State at 4 p.m. The Vikes wrap up play against Dayton at 10 a.m. Sunday, March 9.

The tournament will consist of 12 contests in the three days of competition. Marshall will play six games over the weekend. Admission to all contests is free. A complete schedule is listed below.
