The Cleveland State softball team's scheduled season opener has been pushed back a week after this weekend's Fairfield Inn Dayton Flyer Classic was called off due to inclement weather.

The Vikings were scheduled to open the season against the host Flyers on Saturday and follow with a game against Horizon League rival Wright State. On Sunday, CSU was slated to take on IUPUI before starting bracket play.

No make up dates are planned for the tournament.

Now CSU will travel to Huntington, W.V. March 7-9 for the Marshall Radisson Softball Classic. The four-team tournament features Dayton, Morehead State and host Marshall. The Vikings will face each team twice, starting with Marshall on Friday, March 7 at 4:00 p.m.

The Vikings's home opener will be Tuesday, March 25, as they host Robert Morris in a doubleheader starting at 3 p.m.
