All-Horizon League performer, Whitney Willard returns as the squad's lone senior. Willard, a team leader, will be counted on to provide a spark at the top of the lineup. Her speed gives opposing defenses fits and is a solid outfielder. After missing the last 16 games of the season, Willard will return as the team's everyday left fielder.

2007 - Junior Season

Started 29 games in left field...suffered a concussion against Loyola (4/22) and missed last 16 games of season...hit .371 with 36 hits and six RBI...led team with 27 stolen bases in 31 attempts...second on team in runs scored (27)...11 game hitting streak from Feb. 24-Mar 14.

2006 - Sophomore Season

Garnered first team All-Horizon League accolades...led the Vikings with a .353 average, adding 28 runs, 12 RBI and 20 stolen bases (in 24 attempts)...posted a .397 average (27-68) in league play...hit .415 (17-41) during team season-best 11-game hitting streak from April 29-May 12...recorded a team-high 15 multi-hit games...went 3-for-3 and scored winning run in elimination game versus Loyola (5/12) in league championship...was 5-for-10 in twin bill sweep at Wright State (4/29)... drove in a pair, including game-winner against UIC (4/1)...collected five hits in eight at-bats in three-game set at UW-Green Bay (4/14-15)...went 3-for-5 at Robert Morris (3/28).

2005 - Freshman Season

Horizon League All-Newcomer Team selection...led the team with a .342 average, starting 39 games in left field...hit .340 in league play, swiping four bases on five attempts...had 11 multi-hit games...put together an 11-game hitting streak from March 18-April 9 and a seven-game skein from April 30-May 7...went 2-for-3 with a pair of runs versus Loyola (5/7)...was 2-for-4, scoring twice against Robert Morris (3/28).

High School

Placed 7th in the state in the 4x200 and 12th in the long jump as a senior at Mapleton HS...conference champ in the long jump as a freshman and junior...chosen first team all-conference and honorable mention all-district as she averaged 13.1 points a game as a senior...selected team MVP in basketball as a sophomore...also earned a letter in volleyball.

Born July 18, 1986...daughter of Karen and Dan Willard...academic all-Ohio as a senior, member of the National Honor Society, and graduated Cum Laude...has volunteered at Habitat for Humanity and the Special Olympics...has a younger sister, Korie...CSU Athletic Academic Excellence Award winner...graphic design major.
