Jessica Townsend hopes to carry her late-season offensive success into her sophomore season.
2003 - Freshman Season
Started in 54 games her freshman season...batted .148 with 12 hits, three home runs and 10 RBI...hit a go-ahead home run against Wright State in the bottom of the sixth inning of the Horizon League Championship game on May 10.
High School
Plain Dealer MVP as a senior...named to Plain Dealer first team as well as all-Akron Beacon Journal team...named all-district and all-county in 2002...team MVP in 2001 and 2002...team captain in 2002...led squad to a 29-1 mark and the first state championship in school history as a senior... earned three letters in softball...also lettered twice in volleyball and, led the team to regional finals.
