The only pitcher on the staff with collegiate game experience, Christina Swierz will be counted upon heavily to give the Vikings good, quality innings. She has worked hard in the offseason on all aspects of what it takes to be successful in the circle.
2006 - Sophomore Season
Appeared in three games, posting a 1-0 record and a 1.08 ERA in 8.1 innings of work...earned win against UIC (4/1) after holding Flames to four-hits and an unearned run in 4.1 innings of relief as CSU came back from a 3-0 deficit.
2005 - Freshman Season
Started nine games, posting a 3.12 ERA and a 1-5 record...surrendered just one earned run while striking out six in 6.2 innings against Florida A & M (3/18)...earned first career win against North Carolina A&T (3/5), giving up six hits and an earned run while fanning six in complete game effort.
High School
Named Miss Softball for Lorain County and second team all-Ohio as a senior at Marion L. Steele HS...struck out 253 with a 0.60 ERA as a senior...broke school record with 12 doubles in her senior season while hitting .450...two-time conference MVP...as a junior hit .350 and fanned 242...3D Award winner a a junior, an award given for dedication, determination, and desire...struck out a school-record 263 her sophomore year...is the career strikeout leader.
