She also earned CSU's Faculty Athletic Representative's Award her senior year due to her great academic strides. Kyler, a two-time recipient of CSU's Athletic Academic Excellence Award for special academic achievement, went on to earn her master's degree in sport management from CSU in 2002.

After her Cleveland State career, Kyler pitched for the Women's Professional Softball League (WPSL), competing on the league's all-star team in 2001 and tossing a perfect game against the Chicago White Sox All-Stars. She also threw a no-hitter as part of the team's 14-city tour from June to August.

Kyler spent last summer with the Sacramento Sunbirds of the National Professional Fastpitch (NPF) league after playing for the Carolina Diamonds and the Akron Racers of the WPSL.
