Shannon Graves has proven over the last two seasons that she can be counted on, whether it's at the plate, on the base paths or in the outfield. She will see time this season in right field and at designated player. Her speed makes her a threat to steal at any time.

2005 - Junior Season

Led the team in runs scored (24), was second in stolen bases (15-16) and third in hits (44)...stolen base total was tied for fourth in the league...hit .272 and also led the squad with 14 sacrifices...started all 50 games, mostly in right field...had 10 multi-hit games...named league player of the week on May 9 after going 7-for-9 with five runs scored in three-game sweep of Loyola (5/7-8)...effort against Ramblers was part of six-game hitting streak...was 4-for-4 against Niagara (4/7).

2004 - Sophomore Season

Saw action in 50 games, starting 46 mostly as the designated player...hit .267 and ranked second on the team with 36 hits...stole 14 bases in 21 tries to stand second in the league...batted .278 in league play...second on the team with 12 multi-hit games and 10 sacrifices...went 3-for-3 against Loyola (5/13) in league championship...was 3-for-3 versus Detroit (4/17)...went 4-for-8 with three stolen bases in series sweep at Wright State (4/9-10).

2003 - Freshman Season

Saw action in 29 games, mostly as a pinch runner...scored 11 runs and stole four bases.

High School

Second-team all-state as a junior and senior...also received first-team all-region and all-conference in 2001 and 2002...named team MVP as a junior... earned four letters as a shortstop, second baseman and center fielder...team won the conference championship all four years...team went 19-9 her senior year when she hit .305 with 15 RBI...also lettered once in gymnastics...in addition, played AAU softball for Coast-to-Coast.

Born Aug. 15, 1984 in Topeka, Kansas...daughter of Dean and Chris Graves...has two older sisters, Jennifer and Alli...hopes to work in occupational therapy...Athletic Academic Excellence Award winner...health science and psychology major.
