After emerging last season as a solid defensive presence in the infield, Sherri Douglas will start this season at shortstop. A slick fielder, she worked to improve her hitting in the fall.
2002 - Freshman Season
Started 17 of the 19 games she played in, hitting .250 (4-for-16) with a double and two RBI...went 2-for-4 with a double and two RBI against St. Francis (4/21).
High School
Earned all-league honors all four years and all-district in 2002 and 2003...team captain and MVP as a senior...recorded a .475 batting average and .563 slugging percentage as a senior...committed only two errors in 29 games as a second baseman...four year letterwinner in softball...team finished with a 22-8 record in 2003, advancing to the state semi-final game...also lettered two seasons in cross country, advancing to state championship...member of National Honor Society.
