Cleveland, OH-The Cleveland State softball team hosts Youngstown State in a three-game Horizon League series pitting two of the top four teams in the league standings. With six league contests remaining, the Penguins lead the league with a 15-3 conference record. Cleveland State is tied for third at 11-7. The series begins with a single game on Thursday at 3:00 p.m. with a doubleheader scheduled for Friday afternoon.

The Vikings fell to Kent State on Tuesday in non-league action and are looking to rebound after dropping two of three to Robert Morris last weekend. Cleveland State has won four of six Horizon League series so far on the season.

Youngstown State most recently took two of three from Northern Kentucky this past weekend. The Penguins were scheduled to play a doubleheader at Bowling Green on Thursday afternoon before heading to Cleveland.
