CLEVELAND, Ohio - Cleveland State senior Susan Knight (Milan, Ohio) was named to the 2016 Horizon League All-Tournament team and was also named the Defensive Player of the Tournament.

In four games at the League tournament, Knight was a standout in the circle and at the plate.

She went 2-2 with a 2.66 ERA in the circle, working 23.1 of the 28 innings for the Vikings. She started three games and fired two complete game victories. Knight struck out 10 batters and made several key defensive plays during the four games.

At the plate, Knight led the Vikings with a .429 (6-14) batting average over the four games, tallying two runs, one double, one triple and four RBI. She posted a .643 slugging percentage and .500 on-base percentage over the four games.

CSU opened the tournament with a 5-2 win before falling to host UIC, 3-0. The Vikings stayed alive with a 5-2 win over Youngstown State in nine innings in an elimination game, but were eliminated from the tournament with a 4-3 loss to Wright State.
