Knight, Phillips & Woodard to Play for All Star Team

College All Stars vs. Team USA

CLEVELAND, Ohio - Cleveland State softball players Susan Knight, Katelind Phillips and Cynthia Woodard have been selected to play in an exhibition doubleheader against the USA National Team as part of a College All Star Team.

The College All Star team will play the USA National Team in a doubleheader on Tuesday, July 14, at 6:00 p.m. at Marathon Diamonds at the Cube in Findlay, Ohio. Tickets are $15.

Knight was named to the All-Horizon League second team this year after going 11-13 with a 3.29 ERA and 74 strikeouts in 155.1 innings of work. Phillips hit .347 with 18 runs, 51 hits, six doubles, two triples and 10 RBI this year. She was one of four Vikings to start all 52 games.

Woodard was named the Horizon League Player of the Year after leading the league with 25 home runs and 51 RBI and ranking second with a .433 batting average. All three numbers were CSU single season school records.
