CLEVELAND, Ohio - Cleveland State junior catcher Erica McNew (Canton, Ohio) has been named the Horizon League Co-Player of the Week for her performance in CSU's five games last week.

McNew shared the honor with Maria Lacatena of Youngstown State.

In five games last week, McNew hit .533 (8-15) with a .611 on-base percentage and a .933 slugging percentage. For the week, she scored five runs, hit two homers and drove in three runs, while also drawing three walks.

McNew ranks second in the Horizon League in batting average (.455), home runs (11) and RBI (34).

The Vikings return to action on Tuesday (April 21) with a doubleheader at St. Francis (Pa.) with game one slated to begin at 3:00 p.m.
