CLEVELAND, Ohio - Following a season in which Cleveland State set records for wins (10), goals scored (25) and goals allowed (22), two members of the Viking women's soccer team have earned all-state recognition by the Ohio Collegiate Soccer Association as Natalie Daniels and Valerie Stahl were both named to the first team.

"This is a well-deserved honor for both Natalie and Valerie," head coach Derrek Falor said. "Year in and year out, they have proven to be not only one of the top players in the Horizon League, but also throughout all of Ohio. To be honored as one of the top 17 players in Ohio is a testament to how much we relied on them and how much they responded on the field."

Daniels, who was a second team All-Ohio selection last year, became the first player in school history to earn all-league honors in four straight seasons earlier this year. She lds the team and was fourth in the Horizon League with six assists, while ranking second in goals (3) and points (12). A four-year letterwinner, Daniels is the CSU career record holder in goals (19), assists (19), points (57), shots (154) and shots on goal (96).

Stahl is earning her first career selection to the All-Ohio squad. She helped anchor the CSU defense, which allowed a school-record low 22 goals this season in 19 games. Stahl also tallied five points on two goals and an assist.

CSU finished the year at 10-7-2 overall, marking the most wins in program history. The Vikings also advanced to the Horizon League Championship as the No. 4 seed after finishing the league slate with a 3-3-2 mark.
