On To The Next One: And This Time It Counts

Aug. 20, 2010

We have now completed a couple weeks of intense training and have a 0-1-1 record for our two exhibition games.

Our first exhibition game was last Saturday against Pittsburgh. It was a hot day and, despite the 0-1 loss, I felt like we did great for our first game.

On Wednesday we had a four-hour bus ride to play Niagara with our new bus driver, Louie. Once we got to our locker room we were yelled at for playing music too loud; however, we still got pumped up for the game. The weather could not have been any better, and I was ready to get a victory.

In the first part of the game, we dominated and had full pressure on Niagara. As the game progressed, we had many chances but just couldn't seem to find the back of the net. The defense stayed strong and the game ended in a 0-0 tie.

It was disappointing not coming home with a win, but there was great improvement from everyone.

On the bus ride home we reflected on the game and relaxed to my new favorite movie, Sweet Home Alabama. We finally arrived back to Cleveland around 10:30 PM and had to rest up for the next morning practice at 8 AM! Good thing we love this sport! :)

A few more days till our first home season game! Come support us on Sunday, August 22, at Krenzler field at 1 PM against Marshall!
