CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Kesha Christoph, who earned first team All-Atlantic 10 honors in soccer as a senior at George Washington University, has been added to the Cleveland State women's soccer coaching staff as a volunteer assistant coach. CSU head coach Derrek Falor made the announcement on Monday. In addition to her coaching, Christoph will attend classes as a graduate student in CSU's Marshall School of Law. "Kesha Christoph is a welcome addition to our coaching staff," Falor said. "Her success and experience as a player will enable her to help our student-athletes make the adjustment to the level of play that is required by collegiate soccer." Christoph was a four-year starter for the Colonials from 1999-2002, serving as the team captain as a senior. She was a first team all-league choice in 2002 after starting all 19 games at either midfield or defense. She finished her career ranked 24th in career scoring with 10 goals, five assists and 25 points in 78 games. A native of Columbus, Ohio, Christoph graduated with honors in 2003 with a dual degrees in geography and anthropology. She spent the 2003-04 academic year serving as an instructional assistant with the Columbus Public School district while also working as a soccer coach for Paul Turner's Soccer Academy. Women's Soccer begins competition as an intercollegiate sport at Cleveland State for the first time this fall. Players report for preseason practice on Wednesday, August 11 with practice beginning the following day. The Vikings will open the 2004 season against Kent State on Friday, August 27.
