CHICAGO -- Lea Hill scored a goal and added two assists to lead DePaul to a 4-0 win over Cleveland State on Friday afternoon at Wish Field.

"Although the score doesn't really show it, I thought that we played pretty well today," head coach Derrek Falor said. "It has been a long season and we are pretty beat up physically right now, but we played hard for 90 minutes and kept our heads in the match."

"Our possession game continues to show improvement. After playing pretty well on Sunday (against Youngstown State), we built on the effort today and that is a positive thing considering that we this late in the season and still showing advancement."

"Another area that I was happy with was our intensity, especially considering that this match was on the road. We haven't played very well away from home and DePaul is a pretty good team."

DePaul received all the scoring it would need early in the first half when Hill and Jennifer Dyer scored a pair of goals just 16 seconds apart. Hill's marker came after a beautiful 30-yard run at the 16:20 mark. Moments later, Hill and Erin Walter set up Dyer to make it 2-0 just 16:36 into the match.

"Letting up after a goal has been a problem for this team all season," Falor said. "Instead of clamping down defensively after allowing a goal, we get down on ourselves and open the door for our opponents to score again."

The score held until the second half when Kelly Lord (59:41) and Margo Sackmaster (70:41) each tallied goals.

The Vikings were outshot, 26-3, in the contest with CSU netminder Ashley Kidwell made seven saves in the goal.

CSU now heads to Indianapolis to face Butler beginning at 12 noon on Sunday (Oct. 24). CSU closes out the regular season at home next Sunday, Oct. 31) beginning at 1:00 p.m. at Foltz Field in Strongsville.
