GREEN BAY, Wisc. -- Devahn Godfrey recorded a hat trick and Nicole Dooher added a pair of goals and an assist as Gren Bay routed the Vikings, 5-1, on Sunday afternoon at Santaga Stadium.

The loss dropped the Vikings to 2-11-1 on the year and 1-3-1 in league play while Green Bay improved to 4-8-2 overall and 2-2-1 in league play.

"We struggled today to defend inside the box," CSU head coach Derrek Falor said. "All five of their goals either came on set plays or from within the box and we had three or four other situations where we cleared a ball off the goal line.

"That has been a problem all year for us and we have to improve on that if we want to make the league playoffs.

"We otherwise battled pretty hard against a good team, a team that we should be pretty even with," Falor added.

Green Bay took control of the match early in the first half when it scored three quick goals.

Dooher put the Phoenix ahead, 1-0, in the 16th minute when she scored from close in off a pass from Molly Haertle.

Green Bay made it 2-0 at the 19:16 mark when Godfrey headed home a Mikayla Clark cornerkick.

Godfrey was at it again at the 24:55 mark when her header off a long cross from Dooher found the net.

The Vikings got on the scoreboard at the 68:32 mark when Allie Riczo got her head onto a corner kick from Marley Greiner and redirected in past Phoenix netminder Aliea Debelak to close CSU to within 3-1.

Green Bay came right back, as Godfrey (71:30) and Dooher (77:16) each added goals down the stretch to close out the match.

Kelly Zinkiewich made nine saves in goal for CSU while the tandem of Maddie Drusch (2 saves) and Debelak (1 save) combined for the win.

The Vikings return to Krenzler Field this week for the final two home contests of the year, facing Butler on Friday (Oct. 16) at 7:00 p.m. and Valparaiso on Sunday (12:00 noon).
