MILWAUKEE, Wisc. -- Sarah Hagen and Laurel Ragalie combined to score five times and the Panthers held CSU to just one shot as Milwaukee routed Cleveland State, 8-0, on Friday night at Engelmann Field.

The loss dropped the Vikings to 2-10=1 on the season while the first place Panthers improved to 6-5-3 overall and 4-0 in league action.

"This was not one of our better efforts," CSU head coach Derrek Falor said. "We played reasonably well in the opening half but we melted down in the second half. It is unfortunate because we were coming off a pair of solid matches last weekend and we were hoping to build on those performances tonight.

"Now we just have to put this out of our minds when we get back to action on Sunday," Falor added.

Ragalie was responsible for the first two goals of the match, taking a cross from the endline and blasting a shot just inside the far post in the 18th minute. At the 27:23 mark, she tracked down a rebound off a missed Kate Megna shot and slipped it past Viking goalkeeper Kelly Zinkiewich to make it 2-0 at half.

Hagen took over the scoring role, registering a natural hat trick in an eight-minute span early in the second half.

She opened the run by heading home a cornerkick from Megna at 52:47. Less than a minute later, she converted a penalty kick after CSU was called for a foul in the box and she completed her barrage with a header that found the net off a cross from Megna.

The goals were Hagen's 12th, 13th and 14th of the season.

Makenzie Gillaspie pushed the Panther lead to 6-0 with a goal in the 62nd minute and Sammy Vovos and Meghan Elvington added markers down the stretch to finish the scoring.

Zinkiewich made 11 saves in the contest to try and off-set a 37-1 shooting spree that favored Milwaukee.

Cleveland State returns to action on Sunday (Oct. 11) when the Vikings play at Green Bay at 1:00 p.m. EDT.
