DETROIT, Mich. -- Host Detroit scored four goals in the first nine minutes and Mary Parker tallied five goals and two assists as the Titans upended Cleveland State, 13-0 on Friday afternoon at UDM's Titan Field.

"Our performance during today's match was beyond disapointing," head coach Derrek Falor said. "We did not go into this game mentally prepared to play and it showed. We have to do a better job of getting ready to play on the road."

The match was over early . Detroit's Megan Canty scored on a rebound just 3:44 into the match to start the scoring onslaught. Elizabeth Hardy followed with a goal at the 4:46 mark to make it 2-0.

Parker, who was already leading the Horizon League in scoring with 10 goals and 22 points heading into the match, scored the first of her school-record five markers at the 8:37 mark to put the Titans ahead 4-0 and then added her second goal four minutes later (12:35).

Parker's scoring exploits continued in the second half. With the Titans already leading 8-0, she scored three straight goals in a 4:39 period, giving her 15 goals for the year.

The Vikings allowed a season-high 40 shots with freshman goalie Ashley Kidwell recording a career-high 15 saves. CSU managed six shots, including four by Heather Clapacs, with Detroit netminder Allison Dube making four saves in posting the shutout.

The loss dropped CSU's record to 0-14 on the year and 0-3 in Horizon League play. Detroit improved to 7-4-1 overall and 3-0 in the league.

The Vikings are idle until hosting Youngstown State on Sunday, October 17 beginning at 3:00 p.m. at Mentor High School.
