ROCHESTER, Mich. - Natalie Daniels scored a goal in each half to help lead Cleveland State to a 2-1 victory at Oakland in the Vikings second and final exhibition match of the preseason on Saturday afternoon.

"Natalie had a typical game today, working sideline to sideline and creating chances," head coach Derrek Falor said. "That's the kind of game we need her to play to take some pressure off the forwards and let them be a little more free.

"I thought we were a little scattered during the first 20 minutes, but really regrouped and played well for the last 70 minutes and were so much more physical. We did some good things that we can take forward, but have a few things to work on before opening up next weekend."

OU took a 1-0 lead at the 18:36 mark on a goal by Serena San Cartier.

"We can't keep giving up early goals like that and falling behind," Falor said. "That is something we need to fix and come out with a lot more energy from the start."

The Grizzlies held the 1-0 lead until Daniels scored with just over four minutes to play in the first half to tie the game. She went on to score the game-winner in the second half.

The Vikings will open the 2011 regular season when CSU travels to Kent State for a 5:00 p.m. contest on Friday (Aug. 19).
