Coach Falor's Comments

"Amber's ability to play a wide variety of positions has grown each year and this year will be no different as we expect her to be a focal point of our defense. As a wing defender with the ball at her feet, she is dynamic in combinations with our midfield. She is a tireless worker and has an astute understanding of our tactics and the individual abilities of her teammates. We rely on her creativity and competitive spirit on a daily basis."

2006 - Junior Season

Saw action in all 20 matches, earning 18 starts at either outside midfield or defense. . . was seventh on the team with 10 shots, scoring one goal with one assist for three points. . . scored the fastest goal in school history vs. Indiana State (9/22/06), a marker just 13 seconds into the match. . . assisted on Shayna Back's game-winning goal vs. IPFW (10/22/06). . . earned third letter.

2005 - Sophomore Season

One of five players to start all 19 matches for the Vikings...registered her lone goal against Niagara (9/20), while chipping in eight shots on the year...recorded a season-best two shots versus Niagara as well...earned second letter.

2004 - Freshman Season

Horizon League All-Newcomer team choice after leading the team in scoring...had a part in all four Viking goals during the season, tallying one marker with three assists for five points...started all 19 games she played, missing the St. Bonaventure match (9/19/04) with a mild concussion...lone goal came in the second half against Youngstown State (10/17/04)...assisted on the first two goals in program history, feeding Jennifer Wieand for markers against Valparaiso (9/26/04) and Bowling Green (10/1/04)...also assisted on Heather Clapacs goal vs. UW-Milwaukee in the Horizon League tourney (11/4/04)...finished year with 13 shots.

High School

Three-time MVP in soccer at Bristol High School...set school scoring records for both boys and girls by tallying 42 goals as a senior and 139 in her career...four-time all-county choice and two-time all-district pick...team captain as a junior and senior... lettered four times in soccer, three times in softball and twice in basketball.

Born July 7, 1986 in Warren, Ohio...daughter of John and Mary Jo Rasmussen...has three sisters, Ashley, Amanda and Katlyn and one brother, Eric...four-year member of the honor roll in high school...member of the Beta Club, the Foreign Language Club and SADD...2005 and 2006 CSU Athletic Academic Excellence Award winner ...health sciences major.
