SETTING THE SCENE
Cleveland State ended the regular season with four consecutive shutouts to earn the No. 5 seed in the 2021 Horizon League Tournament. The Vikings will head to fourth-seeded, Green Bay on Sunday, Oct. 31 at 2 p.m. for the quarterfinal matchup.

SCOUTING THE PHOENIX
Green Bay enters the quarterfinals with a 7-2-6 overall record and 4-2-5 Horizon League mark. The Green and White are 4-0-4 in home games this season. The Phoenix are coming off a 1-0 loss to Milwaukee on the road in their season finale. McKayla Kertscher leads the offense with five goals and two assists. Annie Mason has made 53 saves to go along with seven shutouts.

PREVIOUS MEETING THIS SEASON
The Vikings fell to the Phoenix 1-0 in their regular-season matchup on October 10th in Cleveland. Green Bay netted the lone goal off a free kick just 37 seconds into the contest. Each team finished the contest with nine shots and three shots on goal. Cleveland State had ten corners compared to zero for the visitors.

SHUTOUT STREAK
Cleveland State ended the season on a four-game unbeaten streak, all of which came via shutouts. The Vikings capped off the regular season with a 1-0 victory at Purdue Fort Wayne on Wed. Oct. 27.

HORIZON LEAGUE HONORS
Senior Essence Canady was selected to the All-Horizon League Second Team and Kyla Valaitis was named to the Horizon League All-Freshman Team, the league announced on Friday afternoon.

OFF-THE FIELD SUCCESS
Maddie Young, Kathryn Ramicone, and Lina Feltovich were named to the 2021 Horizon League Women's Soccer All-Academic Team, the League announced Tuesday afternoon.
