Vikings Earn United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award

CLEVELAND – The Cleveland State University women's soccer program was honored for their academic work for the 2018-19 academic year when it earned the United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award announced by the organization on Thursday.

The Vikings earned the honor for the 11th consecutive year and the 12th time overall. Cleveland State has been recognized by the United Soccer Coaches for its academic prowess in every year since 2009. To qualify for the award, a team must have a minimum grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale to be eligible.

Cleveland State returns to the pitch on Sunday (Oct. 6) when it hosts Oakland in a Horizon League match at 1 p.m. on Krenzler Field.
