Vikings Drop 2-0 Match at Wright State; Host Oakland on Saturday for Senior Night

FAIRBORN, Ohio - The Cleveland State women's soccer team closed its three-game road swing on Wednesday night, falling 2-0 at Wright State in Horizon League action.

CSU fell to 8-7-1 overall and 4-3 in the League, while the Raiders improved to 6-7-1 overall and 3-3-1 in the Horizon League.

After a scoreless first half, the Raiders scored the first goal of the match just 3:23 into the second half when Natalie Sedlock scored off a corner kick from Sarah Colvin. It stayed that way until the 82:20 mark when Savannah Carmosino scored off an assist by Halle Pyle.

WSU held an 18-13 advantage in shots and a 9-1 advantage in corner kicks.

Ashley Thiss, Kaila Sargema and Vickie Havas all had three shots for the Vikings.

Jamie Daniels made nine saves in goal for CSU.

The Vikings return to action on Saturday (Oct. 24) when CSU hosts Oakland at 7:00 p.m. at Krenzler Field for Senior Night.

CSU's seven seniors - Chloe Fadenholz, Havas, Jen Jankowski, Erin O'Toole, Samantha Sarmento, Allie Sieradzki and Sarah Wood will be honored in a pre-match ceremoy.
