Vikings Drop First League Match of Season; Fall 1-0 to Milwaukee

CLEVELAND, Ohio - The Cleveland State women's soccer dropped its first Horizon League match of the season, falling 1-0 to Milwaukee on Saturday night at Krenzler Field.

The loss dropped the Vikings to 7-5-1 overall this year and 3-1 in the league, while the Panthers improved to 8-3-2 overall this year and remained perfect in the league at 4-0.

The Panthers scored the lone goal of the game at the 37:04 mark when Kelsey Holbert found aubrey Krahn on the left wing and Krahn set a cross into the box where Callie O'Donnell scored with a shot to the right post. It was her seventh goal of the season.

CSU outshot Milwaukee, 8-6, while the Panthers held a 5-2 advantage in corner kicks.

CSU returns to action on Wednesday (Oct. 14) when the Vikings play at 8:00 p.m. EST at UIC. The contest is a make-up from the match on Sept. 18 that was postponed due to heavy rain and unplayable field conditions.
