CSU Women's Soccer Earns NSCAA Team Academic Award

CLEVELAND, Ohio - The Cleveland State women's soccer team was named a National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Team Academic Award winner for the 2014-15 academic year as announced on the NSCAA's official website.

Under the direction of second-year head coach Sonia Curvelo, the Vikings posted a 3.61 cumulative grade point average.

It marks the seventh consecutive year (2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015) that the program has been recognized for its academics by the NSCAA. It is the eighth time overall that CSU has made the list, also garnering the award in 2002.

Those teams who post a grade-point average of 3.0 or higher earn the annual award, with 859 college soccer teams across all divisions recognized this year.
