Vikings Run Win Streak to Three Straight; Top Bowling Green, 2-1

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - The Cleveland State women's soccer team extended its win streak to three straight with a 2-1 victory at Bowling Green on Friday night.

The game was called with 58 seconds to play after a 30 minute delay for inclement weather and lightning.

CSU improved to 3-3 this season, while BG fell to 0-4.

The Vikings fell behind 1-0 in the 29th minute of the match when Skylar Fleak scored her first goal of the season from 23 yards out at the top of the box.

However, CSU wasted little time in tying the contest at 1-1 as Sarah Kaiser netted her first goal of the season just three minutes later with a goal from the left side of the box. Elise Sailors tallied the assist.

The game-winner came at the 65:33 mark when Chloe Fadenholz scored her third goal of the season. Fadenholz cut to the inside and hit a shot from 30 yards out with her left foot that found the far upper-90.

It was the third straight match that Fadenholz scored a goal.

BG held a slight 19-16 advantage in shots as Sarah Wood made six saves for CSU to earn the win in goal.

The Vikings conclude a stretch of five games in 10 days with a 1:00 p.m. contest vs. Kent State on Sunday (Sept. 7) at Krenzler Field.
