FREE KICKS:
    •    The women's soccer team hits the road for the first time this season with a pair of matches this weekend. It begins a stretch of four straight road games for the Vikings.
    •    CSU opens the weekend at Kent State on Friday (Aug. 30) at 5:00 p.m. and travels to Western Michigan on Sunday (Sept. 1) for a 1:00 p.m. match.
    •    CSU opened the season with a pair of wins at home over the weekend, defeating Canisius, 3-2, in the season opener on Friday (Aug. 23) and topping Bowling Green, 2-1, on Sunday (Aug. 25).
    •    CSU is 2-0 for just the second time in program history. The other time was in 2010 when the Vikings opened the season with five straight wins.
    •    Cleveland State scored five goals in its first two games over the weekend with five different players recording one goal.
    •     The Vikings are 1-5-1 all-time against Kent State, including a 2-0 setback last season at Krenzler Field.
    •    Sunday's match versus Western Michigan will be the first-ever meeting between the two schools.

WOOD EARNS LEAGUE HONOR:
    •    Sophomore Sarah Wood was honored as the Horizon League Defensive Player of the Week for her performance in CSU's two wins last week.
    •    In the two wins last week, Wood made 20 saves and posted a .870 save percentage.
    •    She tallied a career-high 11 saves, tied for the fifth most in a game in program history, against Canisius and followed that with nine saves against Bowling Green.

SIVIC STARTS WELL:
    •    Junior Amanda Sivic, a transfer from Dayton, began her CSU career on a high note in the two matches last week.
    •    Sivic led the team with three points on a goal and an assist.
    •    Scored the first goal of the season for CSU, just 1:44 into the match, in the win over Canisius. Added an assist on CSU's first goal against Bowling Green.

SUPER SOPH:
    •    Vickie Havas is back for her second year after earning a spot on the Horizon League All-Newcomer team last year.
    •    She tied for second in the league in assists (5), and was fourth in points (15) and goals (5).
    •    She scored at least one point in eight of the 15 matches she played in.
    •    Havas picked up right where she left off last year with a goal in the season opener vs. Canisius.

DISHING IT OUT:
    •    Junior Shea Levi dished out an assist in each of CSU's first two matches.
    •    Levi is the only player in the Horizon League with two assists through the first weekend of the season.

    •    The Vikings head to Florida for two matches, playing at Miami on Friday (Sept. 6) at 7:00 p.m. and Florida International on Sunday (Sept. 8) at 1:00 p.m.
