Women's Golf: Final Fall Event of Season (and Careers)

Oct. 22, 2008

We just finished our last tournament of the fall and for Ashley, Kim and I, it is our last fall event ever. The seasons seem to come and go so fast. I cannot believe this is almost the end of my college career. Its funny when I started college, I was told that it would fly by and it sure has. I am really sad it's almost over and a little scared for what will come after graduation. But I look forward to going out with a bang with a win at conference!

Our last tournament put us in Tennessee for the Austin Peay State Invitational. It takes about 10 hours to get there so we left a day before our practice round. Unfortunately for us, we were only able to bring 4 girls to this event. We normally play 5 and count 4, but due to some sickness on our team we could only bring 4. We were at a slight disadvantage because if anyone of us had an off day, we would have to count it. We didn't play as well we would have hoped but we had some good shots and some good laughs and definitely some good stories.

It's about 5:30pm and we are still in Kentucky. That means by the time we stop to eat we won't be home till 1am. Boo! Oh the life of a college golfer. But lucky for me the other girls are sleeping so Coach and I can listen to country!

We have 5 months till our next tournament and that time will definitely be spent working on our games and our fitness. It will fly by of course but there is no other place I would rather be!

Till next season!

GO VIKES!
