RICHMOND, Va. - Cleveland State is in 11th place after the first round of the Spider Invitational. Richmond is hosting the 12-team event at the 6,038 yard, par 72 Tradition course at Virginia Crossings.

Virginia's `B' team leads at 311, while Campbell is in second place at 316 and High Point stands third at 319. The Vikings posted a 362.

High Point's AnnMarie Dalton leads the race for medalist after firing a 74. James Madison's Diana Meza turned in a 75, while Virginia's Kristin Simpson and Whitney Neuhauser both carded a 76. Freshman Katie Broere paced CSU with an 86 to stand in a tie for 37th.

The tournament concludes with 18 holes on Tuesday morning.
